This policy describes how Plantmon handles information when you use the app or join the launch waitlist. Plantmon is made by Aevel.

Information we handle

Why we use this information

We use it to create and secure accounts, identify scanned plants, show your collection and garden, manage subscriptions, respond to privacy requests, and send launch information if you join the waitlist.

Service providers

Plantmon uses Cloudflare for its website, app services and storage, OpenAI to process plant identification photos, and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. Google and Apple handle purchases made through their stores. These providers process information under their own terms and applicable agreements.

Retention and deletion

Account and app information is kept while needed to provide Plantmon. You can request account deletion from the Account screen in the app or by contacting us. When an account is deleted, Plantmon removes account-linked app data and scan photos from its systems. Some records may remain where retention is required by law. The waitlist email is held until it is no longer needed for launch updates or you ask us to remove it. Specific retention periods for scan photos and backups have not been confirmed for this draft.

Advertising and sale of data

Plantmon does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising in the app.

Your rights

If the GDPR applies, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, and request a copy of information you provided. You can make a request at hello@aevel.co. You may also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Children

Plantmon is not designed to collect personal information from children under the age required to provide consent in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.

Changes

We will update this page if our privacy practices change. The date at the top will show when the policy was last reviewed.
